For more than two decades, my work has centered on one core question: How do learners most effectively acquire a first and a second language?
As a certified Mandarin teacher, an applied linguistics researcher, and an author of children’s literacy books, I explore this question through teaching practice, academic research, and book writing. Over the years, these experiences have led me to develop a number of unique insights.
